Three Jens Guest Post and Ebook Sale! Woohoo!

Guess what? One of my favorite authors (and most favorite people, for that matter) decided to stop by my blog today and hit us with a guest post! It’s only fitting that our all-American dreamgirl, Jennifer DeLucy, is host to the all-American Dave, better known as Big D. Since the main character in my 1980s chick lit/romance novel ThreeDaves is named Jen, I asked three Jens to host each of the Daves during my September Blog Blitz to celebrate the awesome new book cover. Thanks for being one of my Jens, Jen!

Let’s meet Big D, shall we? In a word, he’s perfect. Every mother’s ideal boy for her daughter. After meeting her daughter’s scruffy former boyfriend, Jen’s mom was introduced to the clean-cut, athletic, straight-A Big D, and “her entire countenance seemed to sigh with relief.” When Jen met him, he’d been appropriately strutting around in a Superman costume at his fraternity’s Halloween party.

Our musical Ms. DeLucy will appreciate that the story uses music to define its characters. Even for the 80s, Big D is a throwback to an earlier era, and so 70s classic rock comprises the bulk of his repertoire. His favorite song would appear to be an 80s product…you got it, R.E.M.’s “Superman” heehee…but even that’s a remake of the 1969 song by The Clique. Go figure.

Today I’d like to cast Big D in the imaginary Three Daves movie. And since the story is set in the 1980s, we’ll be doing it with an 80s actor. With the overview you have of him, who would you choose?

Yeah, I had to Google to find out his real name. I’m talking about Jake Ryan from Sixteen Candles. Nuff said.

Charlie Sheen

Pre-crazy. He practically was Big D in Lucas. Can’t you just hear the *ting* off his teeth?

Emilio Estevez

Let’s pit the brothers against each other, eh? Remember Estevez’s most excellent portrayal of good guy jock in The Breakfast Club?
