New Lift Post - The Inner Sanctum

I said I would blog about things once I felt like I could, and today wants to be blogged. The wind is blowing in through both of my windows, the chimes outside are competing with the birds for sweetest music, and as long as the sun is shining on me, I should take advantage of the mood lifter and do something productive and even therapeutic. So, I have pics.

I haven't much felt like sharing pics of the new space for a while, because my heart wasn't in it. In fact, I've been in kind of a haze for weeks and weeks, and feeling things wasn't something I was ready to do, but, today I'm letting myself feel some pleasure from that breeze that keeps rustling my sleeve and the sound of the little lake waves slapping together. And I'm going to find pleasure in sharing these pictures with you, as well. They're simple little things... my bed, my cat, my new writing space, the view from my window, because I want to let you guys into everything. I like people. I like interaction, and the last thing I need is to become a monk right now. It's time to invite a larger group into my life. That would be you. So, welcome aboard. It'll probably get personal. :)

WHERE THE MAGIC HAPPENS. (Yeah, right, Jen... in your dreams... literally.) But, really, I thought about making the bed all perfect and crap, but come on... that's not very candid. Note feline.

My brother, my sister, my cousins. They may be a thousand miles away, but it still makes me feel better to see their pics. I kind of like them a little.

Ok, THIS is where the magic happens... and also where I check my gmail. Note Panera Bread iced green tea. Aaaaaah, refreshing.

A room with a view... gotta love it. Lake is on the right.

I can't wait for the trees to start budding. Imagine what it'll be like then. Come on, warm season, inspire me.

So, you've probably noticed the aquatic theme in the room. This is because of two things. One, I'm obsessed with the ocean (and bodies of water in general, really), and two, there is the above mural to work with, and how many people get to share a room with dolphins?

Right. And then there's me. I thought about posting a clearer image, but then I realized this one is perfect, because it's exactly how I feel... foggy. Hopefully the film will clear soon, though.

Love you guys,
Jen
