Are you Scared of Your Own Life?

Do you ever feel like your own dreams intimidate you? How about my aspiring writer friends out there? Musicians? Bakers? Lion tamers? You name it? Does the weight of what you really want scare the bejeesus out of you? Ever think that you're the only one holding your destiny back, whether consciously or subconsciously, simply out of fear? Maybe you don't believe you can handle it... maybe you don't think you're enough.

I hear you. As my life has upturned in the last year, I've had the feeling of unraveling fate and it scares me as much as it excites me. All kinds of things come with dream fulfillment--positive and negative--and I'm trying to come to terms with what's happening, trying to remind myself not to hold my arms out in a stopping motion toward my own future. I need to let the waves roll over me.

Are you pushing back against your own purpose? I'm posting some songs here that I think you should listen to, because they often wrench me out of freak out mode and toss me into "Okay, okay, fine. I get it! I'm open! Throw me the ball!" mode. They're from an artist named Joshua Radin who has been a massive life saver for me. Several of his songs have undeniable get up and live you life...do it... take the dive messages. I adore them.
