Tsunami route sign right on the street beside my hotel. Guess it makes sense. The beach is straight ahead...
Doesn't it seem odd that you'd flee parallel to a tidal wave? Just sayin'... See captions for more scientific explanation.
I didn't realize how close I was to Forks and Port Angeles, but apparently I drove right past them. No, there were no sparkly vampires anywhere to be see.
Seavultures, as I call them, waited in hordes anywhere they felt there was even the remotest chance of food. This was a McD's parking lot.
This is the sand dune trail behind my hotel that would (eventually) lead to the ocean. However, that is only after walking a block's worth of scratchy sand dune brush, and since they are awesome here and let you just drive right up onto the beach, after my first experience with said wilderness, I decided to just drive and park, instead. ;)
Fish and chips! I love malt vinegar. :)
Fish tacos at the beach!
This is the entrance to the Weatherwax Coastal Rainforest. Pretty special, huh? Peek in there and you just KNOW something cool is waiting for you...
A few feet past the entrance and I'm like a kid in fairyland.
This is canopy...
