Second Book and Music!

I'm psyched! Tomorrow, I'm going to a musician friend's house to record the trailer song for the second book in the Seers trilogy. By the way, the book now has a title, but I'm not sure if I can say what it is yet, so, bear with me on that front.

I can tell you the name of it's theme song, though. It's called "Free Me", and I'm way excited to stop rehearsing and actually get it recorded. It's itching to be free. And you know, I realize I'm probably a bit weird with the music thing, since I don't think authors tend to compose musical pieces for their writings, but it makes sense to me, recording a song for each book that I write. I've been performing and composing music all my life, every bit as much as I've written stories, so, why not make things an all-encompassing experience for the reader/listener?

The sequel song has a slightly different feel from Lily's Song (the theme piece from Seers of Light http://www.myspace.com/jenniferdelucy) in that it actually has a few words! Imagine that. Anyhoo, I'm super excited to share it once it's all ready to go, and then, in the next several months, I'll be releasing some other treats, as well (like the title of the sequel, an ARC, the playlist, etc.)

I finished my own re-writes on the manuscript a few days ago, and in the next month it should be going to formal editing, with an anticipated fall release. If that changes, I'll keep you posted. In the mean time, if you haven't read Seers of Light, now is the time to do it!

Hope you all had a beautiful weekend.

Much love,
Jen
